Who We Are

Our staff of professionals has years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each comes to us because we are leaders in our profession, with dedication to service, and professional integrity.
  • When we sit down with a family, our shared goal is to create a fitting, memorable and affordable service for their loved one. We offer them a wide variety of services and products, as well as a wealth of creative ideas and suggestions. Together, we'll design a memorial or funeral service that suits their needs now, and in the future. Families who come to us know that years from now, they will have deep peace-of-mind because in coming to us, they've done their best to honor their loved one.

  • The Clyne & Sobocinski Funeral Home emerged as a result of a fire in May of 2000. The original Clyne Funeral Home was established as Hubbard & Clyne in 1925. William D. Clyne bought out his partner, Duncan Hubbard, in 1930 and re-located from Mt. Clemens to 22322 Gratiot, Eastpointe, formerly known as Halfway, MI. There William D. Clyne Sr. was joined by his sons; Dwight Charles and Williams D. Clyne Jr. After the death of William D. Sr. in 1961 and the early retirement of William D. Jr. the business was owned and operated by Dwight C. Clyne and now his daughter Linda Clyne Fletcher continues as a third generation Funeral Director and Managing Partner.

  • The Leo T. Sobocinski Funeral Home began in 1929 on McDougall and Farnsworth in Detroit next to St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. The Sobocinski Family later moved with the suburban sprawl to its present location in 1959 on Kelly Road in Eastpointe. Leo T. Sobocinski was joined by his daughter Carolyn Sobocinski-Brzuchowski and son-in-law Robert Brzuchowski.

  • Since the merger in August of 2000 both families have continued to serve the community with impeccable reputations and their many years of experience have set the standard for funeral service excellence.
