Margaret E. Heath (Noel), age 82, died on Friday, March 5, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Meridian, Idaho.
Margaret was born May 31, 1927 to Jessie and Sherman Noel of Libby, Montana. She was raised in Libby, and attended grades 1-12. She graduated from Libby High School in 1945.
Margaret met Melvin Heath in January 1946, shortly after he returned from World War II. Margaret worked in a dental office and Melvin came in to have a filling repaired. Shortly thereafter, he invited her to the movies and it was love on the first date. They were engaged by Easter, and married on July 14, 1946.
The most important thing in Margaret’s life has been her love of family. At home she enjoyed crocheting, baking, camping, and traveling to the Oregon coast. Melvin and Margaret have lived in Libby, MT; Lewiston, ID; Kennewick, WA and now reside in Boise, ID. She is a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Everett and Harry Noel, and her sister Edna Noel Sturm. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Melvin Heath; her son Mark Heath and his wife Betty of Boise, ID; and her three daughters, Kathleen and her husband Robert Wood of Potomac Falls, VA; Gwen and her husband Dick Lorentz of Clarkston, WA; and Sherri Truxal Petty of Meridian, ID.
Grandchildren include Deanna and her husband Kirk Felton of Christiansburg, VA; Jason and his wife Kathleen Wood of Honolulu, HI; Jaime and her husband Paul McCarthy of Lewiston, ID; Stevie Heath and her husband Jack Hompland of Azusa, CA; Jared Truxal of Meridian, ID; and Jeffery Heath of Boise, ID. Margaret is also very proud of her six Great-Grandchildren.
The funeral services will be conducted at 2PM, Wednesday, March 10th at the Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd, Boise, ID. In celebration of her life, a reception will be held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 4848 N. Five Mile Road, Boise, ID, following the graveside services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in the memory of Margaret.
