Betty Mary Collins

Betty Mary Collins, 88, of New Plymouth, Idaho passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 9, 2017 in Boise, Idaho. She was born November 25, 1928 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her proud parents Earl and Grace Ralston. She was preceded in death by her parents and her four brothers Don, Richard, Harold and Joe and two sisters Fern and Faye. She is survived by her sister Linda who currently lives in Oklahoma.

Betty married Carl Collins at the age of 17 and they had a loving marriage until he passed away in October of 1992. They moved from Oklahoma to California in 1947 and lived in the Bay area for approximately 43 years until they relocated to New Plymouth, Idaho. Together they had six children and enjoyed lots of family gatherings, dominos, fishing and meals with loved ones. Betty was a very devoted wife and mother and spent most of her years as a homemaker and took pride in taking care of her husband and children. She is preceded in death by her children Randy, Connie and Roger and is survived by Danny, Mark and Sherry.

She has fourteen grandchildren, Andy, Daniel, Eric, Shawn, Kerrie, Becky, Jason, Jake, Josh, Jenny, Adam, Chris, Kandi and Keith.

We will miss her deeply but take great comfort knowing she has joined those that have gone before her. Betty did not want a funeral or memorial service, she chose to be cremated and laid to rest next to her husband. She will be remembered most for her kind heart, cheerful spirit and loving personality. She was an inspiration and example to all who knew her.
