Elizabeth E Miller, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother passed away on 26 Jan 2018.

Born in Trego County, Kansas 2 Feb 1921 she married Lawrence E. Miller on 28 July 1940 and moved to the Treasure Valley and began a family.

Elizabeth grew up on the farm in Kansas where she learned how to be an incredible cook from her Mother and Father. She was surrounded by a Sister and five Brothers, being the middle child. Times were hard, when she graduated the eighth grade, she went to live with Lawrence’s Aunt to help the family, where she met Lawrence. Their love for each other took them on many adventures throughout 70 years of marriage. During her lifetime, being a farmer’s wife, she took various jobs outside of the farm; such as a cook at a local café, a welder in the shipyards during WWII while Lawrence was in Japan, Ore-Ida and Simplot, bus driver, raising chickens for Albertson’s. New adventures started when they left the farm, logging, contract fence building, truck driving. They always worked together to make a living. In her spare time, she loved to cook, sew, quilt, crochet and garden.

She is survived by a son Ron (Gwen) Miller, 4 grandchildren Robert (Rene) Johns, Valdeen (Johnny) Swanson, Shelly (Robert) Medley, Ashely (Sage) Potter, and 5 great grandchildren, Kayla and Brandi Wurtz, Kyia (Elijah) Sarault, Jaylin and Corbyn Medley, and 5 great-great grandchildren, Addison, Elsie, Kimberley, Riley and Ivy. She was proceeded in death by her daughter Croletta in 1968 and husband Lawrence in 2010.

My name is not my own, it is borrowed from my ancestors and I must return it unstained. Vincent Elund

Through countless ages, for a brief moment in time, generations were bestowed countless blessings of lessons, love and laughter. As family we honor all these gifts for they are a testament of our ancestral folk soul. We all harbor special memories of time shared with you, but a special warmth embraced each of us when you bestowed an enlightening view into your heart and the forge known as life. So, while walking along my own path pondering, and out of nowhere I hear, “whatcha looking for?”, I will simply grin and declare, You…
