Francis LeRoy DeMond

Born Oct. 12, 1931 to Wm. F and Ethel DeMond in Boise, passed away at home in Meridian on Oct. 29, 2017. LeRoy was the middle child with an older brother Melvin (Ellomae) and a younger sister Maxine (Dick) Palmer. LeRoy was a member of the Idaho National Air Guard in Boise for 25 years. During the Korean War he was stationed in Valdosta, GA, where he met the love of his life, Eileen R Walko. They were married on Oct. 28, 1951 after a 3 month courtship. They have been together for 66 years.

                LeRoy enjoyed camping, fishing, and 4 wheeling. He was a member of the Good Sam club and Boise ATV Trail Riders club. He was also an instructor on ATV safety.

                He has 4 children: Kenneth E DeMond; twins Willie E (Genevra) DeMond and Walter E (Terri) DeMond; and daughter Patricia (Lincoln) Calkins. He had 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parent, his brother and 2 grandsons.
