Gerald "Jerry" I. Day

November 17, 1932 - August 24, 2017

Jerry Day peacefully passed away at age 84 at Heron Place in Nampa. He was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho  and lived there all of his life.  He married the love of his life, Larrie Jean, in  July of 1956 after returning from 2.5 years of service  in the army in Korea .  He worked at Home Dairies in Nampa for 37 years before retiring and starting Grandpa's Toy Shop where he made intarsia and handmade wooden toys for almost 20 years.  His main interests throughout his life were camping, hunting, fishing, hiking and woodworking.  He is survived by his wife Larrie Jean Day, his sons Mike Day and Steve Day and three grandchildren:  Kevin Day, Brian Day and Jennifer Day.  A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m.  on August  30 followed by services starting at 10:30 a.m. at Cloverdale Funeral Home Chapel in Boise.  A reception will follow at 1:00 p.m.  at the First United Presbyterian Church  at 400 Lake Lowell Ave. in Nampa.
