I work in Salmon Idaho and when I visited the State Office Linda was always my favorite part! I loved her beautiful smile and her friendly greetings. She made everyone feel special and like they were the only person in the world. I am so sorry for your loss. Heaven has a beautiful bright angel now.

To the family of Linda- I just wanted to tell you how I enjoyed working with Linda. She could always make me laugh when I would call her on an issue. She was tough but fair. Heaven has new hard working angel.

My sincere condolences to Linda's family. I worked with Linda at the BLM, albeit from my office in Shoshone, ID. Linda was one of my 'go to' people at BLM State HR office. During the hiring season, we talked almost daily on the phone and shared many giggles as well as accomplishing much BLM work, thanks to Linda's willingness to assist. She was a cheerful soul with me and when our conversation ended, I was left smiling. She had that gift of making others feel good. She was a delight. and a pleasure to know.
To Linda's family --you were blessed. Heartfelt sympathy to you and your loved ones.
Rest in peace, Linda.

I had the great pleasure of working with Linda at BLM, directly and indirectly. Our memories of her include her crossword puzzles, eating the exact same lunch EVERYDAY :), and the kindness she showed to anyone she encountered. When I began at BLM she gave me some very sage advice which I treasure to this day, and she reached out to me on my first day of work to make me feel welcome.
Linda I'm so thankful you were able to enjoy some of those trips with your daughters, it was evident that your family was the core of your heart. You will be missed my smiling friend,

Ron and family -
I pray God gives you peace and comfort during this very sorrowful time.
There are not enough words to explain the sorrow we all feel with the loss of our dear Linda. I worked with Linda for over 10 years at the BLM and she was such an amazing lady, She always had an amazing smile a beautiful laugh and words of kindness and wisdom.
Linda always had a wonderful handmade project in some stage of completion that she always shared. Her love for her children and grandchildren was amazing- It was such a pleasure to get a chance to meet those family members that were so important to her. I thank God for the opportunity to know Linda - she was the perfect example of a beautiful mother and grandmother.
Linda-- you were the glue that kept us all together and you will be dearly missed. Our monthly lunches will never be the same.... Rest in Peace my Dear Linda.

My condolences to the family and survivors of Linda Alumbaugh.

I had the pleasure of working with Linda in the same office as her at BLM. Linda shed light on so many people throughout her life; I recall her being there for me as a bright beam of light in a dark time when I experienced loss of my own. We laughed, cried, learned, and gloated together frequently during football season about the many victories of our beloved Boise State Bronco football team. She was always decked out in blue and orange during “football Friday” and at the end of the work day prior to a Boise State football game, we’d make it a point to find one another and share a thumbs up and a “GO BRONCOS!” with one another. Every employee at the BLM Idaho State Office absolutely loved Linda, she could crack a smile on anyone!

I will forever remember her smile, contagious laugh, and her infectious kind spirit. I am forever grateful and honored for having her as an esteemed colleague and friend. Rest in peace, dear friend. You are missed and loved by many.

I am so sorry that I didn't even know Linda had been ill. She and I worked next door to each other on Cole Road when she was at Honneywell and I at GE. We shared many lunch hours together. I regret that we lost touch over the years! Still use a Christmas decor she gave to me way back then. I can't think of a nicer person that I've known in my lifetime. I share Ron's and the family's sorrow and pray that God will grant you strength and peace in the days ahead!

There are no words to say how I feel at this moment. Linda was more then a friend. Her love and kindness is an example for all of us to follow. Linda treated everyone like family. There are a lot of babies that were born into the Bureau of Land Management that are wrapped in blankets and comforters handmade by Linda. She loved going to the baby showers at the office. Linda did not know a stranger. She would go out of her way to assist people at work going above and beyond what was expected. Linda and I retired together, December 31, 2015. She filled the conference room with family and friends that came to wish her well on that date. Six months before we retired to told me about a dream she had. She said that in her dream we were in caps and gowns marching down the aisle to our graduation into retirement. Her dream came true almost two years ago. Rest now thou good and faithful servant. God bless Ron and the family. I pray for their peace and comfort. Jeanne
