Sometimes we have a feeling we should do something----today that feeling was to 'search' the Lewiston paper ob section - and there I read about our friend Mel.
We visited Mel and Margaret when we visited our daughter, Gayle, who lives in boise.. As time went by, we visited with Mel - he always invited us to stay at his house if needed. Always the host, he would have coffee ready.. The last time we were there breathing was hard for him.
As we said our good-byes, we wondered if we would see him again on this side of heaven. He was a gentle and special man. .

Thank you so much for your condolences. You were on my list to call and let know that Dad passed. I am so sorry I didn't get a chance to do so before the service. He and Mom appreciated your loving friendship and enjoyed your visits here in Boise. Please know you both were a blessing in their lives for so many years. thank you.... and God Bless.

Mel served with distinction as an Elder in the Clarkston Presbyterian Church while I was pastor during the years of 1965-70. I still worship there each 'Sunday..
