Sharlene Helen Rotman

The older daughter of Myra Louise Elman and Louis H. Kahn, Sharlene was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on August 26, 1929. When she was 3 years old her family moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where they lived until she was fourteen. They then moved to Los Angeles, California., In Los Angeles, she attended Burroughs Junior High School and Fairfax High School, graduating in 1948.

In December of 1947 friends introduced her to Aaron 'Bud' Rotman. Six months later they were married, and they remained married for 69 years, until her passing on September 11, 2017. They had two sons, Mark, a retired pharmacist of Meridian ID, and Donn, a retired business machine specialist of Nampa. Sharlene was preceded in death by her younger sister Mrs. Frances Reiter, and her parents.

She was grandmother to Mrs. Emily Whitney of San Diego, Melanie Rotman of Meridian, Mary Kathleen Rotman of San Diego, and S.L. “Jake” Rotman of Meridian. She was great grandmother to Evelyn and David Charles Whitney of San Diego.
