Share Tribute:

A Celebration of life service for Steven A. Hatcher who passed away the evening of October 22, 2017 surrounded by family and friends at a local hospital.
Steve was the oldest son of Glenn (deceased) and Dorothy Hatcher born November 27, 1951. He was soon joined by brothers Mike (deceased), Mark (Brenda), Scott, and a sister Sherry Lynn. Steve graduated from Miles City High School in Montana where he ran cross country track and was the only senior to have his own apartment, which was in the basement of the last local brothel (a fact he thought was funny since his dad was a preacher). He worked at a local grocery store and the local TV station while in school. After graduation, Steve joined the U.S. Army. He completed basic training at Ft Lewis WA, and was sent to Germany shortly after graduation. Upon returning to the United States, Steve attended broadcasting school in Florida. He returned to Montana and married his first wife Janet. Steve and Janet had two children, Toby and Amber (Dirk). Steve and Janet divorced, and Steve moved to Idaho where he met Sharon in 1984. They were married 1987 and lived an adventurous life with all of their children, Toby, Brandy (Sue), Amber (Dirk) and John (Amanda). Steve was a U.S. Army Reservist and worked as a salesman, a security guard, a truck driver and a teacher. Above all, he was a wonderful husband, father and papa (Andrew, Colin, Emmett). Steve didn’t know a stranger, if you were a friend you were family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to any Veterans organization such as Honor Flight, Fisher House, or Wounded Warrior Program.
A Celebration of Steve’s life will be held November 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Linder Road Church of Christ, 1555 N Linder Road.
