Verla Rose

Verla Colista Rose died February 15 2017. She was born October 27, 1925 to Ira W. and Ruby Euzell Griffith. She was the second of three daughters and then two sons.
She worked hard all of her life. Her first job was in the onion fields when she was just 8 years old. She married Glen Rose on April 21, 1944. After her marriage she worked as a Grocery Cashier for 13 years, then as a head bookkeeper for two truck stops, as an office clerk and finally as a bank teller until she retired at the age of 78. Glen and Verla were sealed September 17, 2011 in the Twin Falls Temple.
She and Glen loved to go on impromptu trips for and spent many happy miles on their motorcycle. They also loved Hawaii so much that they took at least 20 trips there. They also took a trip that included New Zealand, Fiji and Australia.
They had two children. Kenneth L Rose married Renee K Kelly on April 21, 1967; and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 26, 1976.
Glenda was sealed to Rodney K Day on June 8, 1979 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was preceded in Death by her sister Nola Barrowman and Verla’s husband Glen. She leaves behind her sister Barbara Hamilton, her brother Dean and his wife Donna Griffith and her brother Hal and wife Judy Griffith.
She is the mother of two, grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 18, and great-great-grandmother of 4.
