Wilma Matheney

Wilma Jean Matheney passed away at her home on Friday, April 21, 2017.  Born to Herbert and Estle Rodger on May 22nd, 1927 in Milner, ID, she was raised alongside her older brother Elvin, and younger sister, Melba, in Twin Falls.    
One evening at a little ice cream parlor, Wilma met a handsome soldier visiting from Mountain Home AFB, who would turn out to be the love of her life, Bill Matheney.  They married on March 23, 1946 and started their beautiful life together.  Together they moved around the country while raising two children, Roger & Jeanne.  Eventually, Wilma & Bill settled in Meridian, ID to be close to their children & grandchildren.  
Wilma loved to laugh, enjoyed playing jokes on friends & family, all things sweet, and had a true zest for life.  She spent much of her retirement golfing, sewing, crafting & traveling with her beloved husband.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children and their families.
