On Friday November 13th, 2020, Amy Jean Davis, loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend passed away at the age of 40.
Amy was born on May 20th, 1980 in Boise, ID to Duane and Nancy Davis. She will be laid to rest on Friday November 20th in Ontario, OR.
At a young age Amy was diagnosed with Aicardi Syndrome, a rare brain disorder which affected her speech communication and learning, but it did not obstruct her love for life. Amy received developmental help and support through multiple programs in Payette, ID including the Youth Lodge Child Development Center, Darlene and Rhone Web Child Development, and the Special Needs Aptitude Program (SNAP).
As Amy grew older, she lived and thrived in the community of the Boise Group Homes. The staff gave her tremendous love, care, and support. While she was there, she was able to attend school and participate in many exciting field trips and outings.
In 2001, Amy graduated High School from the Meridian Transition Program.
Amy was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a rare cancerous brain tumor, in February of 2020 and experienced a quick decline before her passing. Throughout her life, Amy had a fun-loving attitude and was always full of happiness. She will be missed, as she brought joy to everyone who knew her.
Amy is survived by her mother Nancy Davis, brother Andrew Davis (April), sister Katie Stayner (Brian) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Amy was preceded in death by her father Duane Davis, grandparents Dale and Doris Shaw, and Claude and Amelia Davis.
There will be a grave side service Friday November 20th at 11:00am at Evergreen Cemetery in Ontario Oregon.
There will be an open house Memorial on Saturday November 21st from 1–3pm at Grace Baptist Church 861 Longfellow Dr in Emmett ID. We will be taking COVID 19 precautions, please wear a mask.
