BARBARA LYNN KING

Barbara Lynn King, a Boise resident since 2014, passed away at her home on November 21, 2022.

Barbara’s life was anchored in a deep love for family and friends. She also loved: food and wine (especially “bubbles”), cooking, traveling, books, classical music and 70s rock, her garden, and The New York Times crossword puzzles (which she completed in ink).

Barbara was born on October 6, 1952, in Waukegan, Illinois. She was a 1974 graduate of Rockford College in Rockford, Illinois and received her master’s degree in Dance in 1986 from Mills College in Oakland, California.

Her professional career centered around the publishing industry and in her later years she took great satisfaction in her volunteer work for The Mentoring Network in Nampa, Learning Lab in Garden City, and the Ada County Library.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Mark Kailer, sister Kathi Duggan, brother-in-law John Duggan, nephews Nik and Khail Duggan, brother Robert King, and numerous friends throughout the country.

The family would like to thank Drs. Tracy Morgan and Vic Kadyan of St. Luke's Clinic. A Memorial is scheduled for Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 2:00pm at Cloverdale Funeral Home (www.cloverdalefuneralhome.com).
