Tribute

On Saturday, October 31, 2020, Barbara “Bobbi” Carol (Bigler) Dunn, loving mother of four children, passed away at the age of 70. Bobbi was born on March 21, 1950 in Winslow, Arizona to Carolyn Eliza (Dunn) Bigler and William Kenneth Bigler. Carolyn and her four children moved back to Carolyn’s birth state of Iowa a couple of years after Bobbi’s birth. She spent most of her childhood in Mount Pleasant, Iowa on the family farm; the farmhouse burned down in 1960 and the family moved into town. She enjoyed singing at an early age, performing in nursing homes after church on Sundays while her Mother recited bible verses. Her family moved back to Arizona in 1966 where she began her junior year at McClintock High School in Tempe, AZ. She met and married Anthony Bautista shortly after high school and they had four children together, born three years apart, Lisa, Nathan, Malinda, and Christina respectively. Bobbi, Lisa, Malinda and Christina moved to Bothell, Washington in 1985 to be closer to her mother and three siblings, Ned, JoAnn and Becca and their children. She worked primarily as a computer software technician at Computer Software Services for several years and then for Boeing in Seattle, WA. Bobbi was very outgoing and had a mind of her own. She passionately rode her three-wheel motorcycle and arranged charity rides for underprivileged children. She had a very generous and loving heart and her radiant smile lit up the room. Bobbi loved her children and grandchildren dearly, always attending special events when possible and sending words of encouragement throughout their lives. Bobbi was the one who arranged large family gatherings every year until her motorcycle accident in May of 2004, which occurred while riding through the mountains of Oregon. Bobbi suffered a severe traumatic brain injury; her family stayed by her side and made sure she was comfortable over the many years that followed. Her caregivers, Journeys Hospice, and especially her guardian angel Sherri, were a tremendous blessing. Bobbi was preceded in death by her mother Carolyn, her brother Ned, and her sister JoAnn. Bobbi is survived by her four children, sister Becca, brother-in-law Charles, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bobbi is dearly missed by all of her loved ones and her spirit lives on in each one of her children and beyond. She is now free to soar with the eagles in heaven. No formal service is planned.
