Barbara Jean Williams, 77, of Meridian, passed away at home in the early morning of Wednesday, March 31st, 2021. Barbara, the second born to Mary Alice and Howard Buster Sasenbery, attended grade school in New Meadows, Idaho before moving to Boise, Idaho and attending Whittier Elementary, West Junior High, and Borah High School.
Barbara worked at Doug’s Drive-In, where she met her future husband Norman Woody Williams. In November, 1961 they married in Boise, Idaho and welcomed a son Tracey in 1962. Daughter Rebecca was welcomed in 1963, and daughter Aimee completed the family in 1969.
Barbara enjoyed being home full time with her children until they started school. She was then employed by West Ada School District as a beloved school lunch lady, and later became a kitchen manager. She retired at age 63.
Norman and Barbara loved traveling with their puppies in their motorhome and spending time in the mountains. Barbara was a life-long Idahoan.
She is survived by her son Tracey Williams of Parma, Idaho, daughter Rebecca (Alan) Shaw of Meridian, Idaho, daughter Aimee (David) Crandall of Chandler, Arizona, brother Howard Eugene Sasenbery, Sister Linda (Richard) Brees, Sister Cinda (Quentin) Ward, Grandsons Travis Williams, Nathan and Brady Shaw, Brandon (Corrie) Coffey, Haden and Logan Crandall, Granddaughters Kirsten Gould, Caitlynn Shaw, Amanda and Samantha Crandall, Great Grandson Alder Bales, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Norman Woody Williams, Parents Howard Buster Sasenbery, Mary Alice Bailey, stepfather Thomas Bailey, Brothers Ronald Bailey and Thomas “Tommy” Bailey, as well as many other loved family and friends.
Flowers and Condolences may be sent to Cloverdale Funeral Home in Boise.
Viewing will be held April 7th, 2021 from 11am until 12pm. Due to COVID restrictions, Masks must be worn, and maximum of 50 people in building at ALL times.
Due to Covid restrictions, the service will be private to already selected friends and family.
