Betty Jean Meyer

Betty Jean Meyer passed away peacefully on April 7, 2021. Betty was born on December 28, 1941, in Florence, SC. She graduated from McClenaghan High School in 1960 and met and married Reece Street shortly thereafter. Reece and Betty moved to Alaska and welcomed daughter Kathy and son Mark. They moved to Idaho in 1963 and welcomed daughter Susan in 1966. While raising her children here in Boise, Idaho, she started working as a telephone operator with Mountain Bell Tel & Tel. She stayed with the company through its multiple name changes until the time of her retirement from the engineering department. Betty married Vernon (Sarge) Meyer in 1990 and they enjoyed may travels and an active lifestyle with many dear friends. Betty will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sister Francis and her husband Grange, her daughter Kathy, her daughter Susan and her dear friend Bruce. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Patricia and Mary Ellen, her brother James Jr, her husband Vernon Meyer, and her son, Mark Street.
