Beverly Bruce Olsen

Beverly “Bev” Olsen, passed away peacefully with family on August 27, 2022 in Boise, Idaho. Beverly was born February 2, 1944 in West Virginia.
Beverly’s childhood was spent in West Virginia, with her parents Thomas L. Suder and Martha Virgina (Fansler) Suder (predeceased) and two sisters (Twins), Melinda S. (Suder) Kerwick (pre deceased) and Melissa J. (Suder) Douglas (predeceased). Beverly’s family moved to Ohio and then Arizona in her teens. Beverly met her first husband, Gilbert L. Myrick, while attending Camelback High School in Phoenix, AZ. Gilbert and Beverly had one child, Sabra L. (Myrick) Parker. Beverly married her second husband, J.L. Olsen (pre deceased) in 1973. J.L., previously married, had two sons Eric and Aaron. Beverly loved to have parties and hosted most of the big holiday meals and always made sure no one spent the holidays alone and invited those she worked with to be part of her family. In the mid 1970’s Beverly and family spent summers in Montana and winters in Arizona. Beverly and her family moved to Boise, Idaho in 1979 to assist with the opening of the new Frontier Airline station at the Boise Airport. Beverly worked with Frontier Airlines until they went bankrupt. She was then employed by the TSA and finally the City of Boise at the Boise Airport in their operations department, where she retired.
Beverly liked going camping and always cooked all the meals. When the grandchildren were young, she always made (at least) 2 big tupperware tubs full of cookies to take camping for them. She always went out of her way to make sure her family had everything they wanted. Beverly spoiled her grandchildren, or at least we thought, until she became a Great Grandmother, and then they were the spoiled ones. Beverly not only enjoyed spoiling her family but also family pets. Beverly’s dog, Boomer (predeceased in June 2022) had a special place in her heart and was her companion for 16 years.
Beverly is survived by Sabra (daughter) and Mike Parker, Ben Parker (grandson) and Jessica, Megan (great granddaughter), Clarissa (Parker) (granddaughter) and Miguel Chavez, Dilan (great grandson), Alex (great grandson), Joshua (great grandson), and Samuel (great grandson); and Eric Olsen (step-son) and Erin, Jacob (grandson) Aaron Olsen (step-son) and Tracey, Hannah (granddaughter), Emily (granddaughter).
