CHRIS G. SHAKLEE
August 5, 1947 to November 4, 2018

Chris, age 71, passed peacefully at home in Meridian on Sunday, November 4, 2018 with his son, David by his side.
Chris, son of Irma and Virgil Shaklee was born on August 5, 1947 in San Diego, California. Irma and Virgil had four sons; Les, Albert, Chris and Tim. The Shaklee family lived in San Diego until 1964 then relocated to Brea, California.
Chris attended Brea Olinda High School in Brea, California.
He married his long time girlfriend Rena Judd. They gave birth to their son David Shaklee on September 14, 1965.
As a veteran of the United States Army he was stationed in Germany for 3 years.
After leaving the military Chris worked 17 year as a long haul truck driver for Albertson’s based out of Brea, California. He was awarded with several safe driving honors during his tenure with the company.
He was hired by Viking Transportation as a long haul truck driver and relocated to Boise, Idaho until FedEx purchased Viking. He continued working for FedEx until he retired.
Chris was happiest when behind the wheel and very proud of his driving career.
He met Ides Chauncey and they were married in 2001.
Chris was great with a joke, a huge tease and you had better give it right back, He always gave great hugs when you needed one. He always loved helping family no matter what project they were working on and was always there for you.
Chris will forever be in our hearts. He will be missed by the family he loved and his many friends.
Chris is preceded in death by his Mother, Irma; Father, Virgil; Brother, Les and Niece, Kathleen.
Chris is survived by; Wife, Ides; Son, David and Daughter-in-Law Lori; Brothers, Albert and Tim; Step-daughter, Elizabeth; Sister-In-Laws, Joan, Doris and Debi; Grandchildren: Amanda, Keith, and Kody; Great Grandaughter Daughter who he adored Emma; Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
