Clark Weldon Millard

Clark W. Millard, age 67, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Boise, Idaho. Clark was born November 21, 1950, to Wayne and Edith Millard in Downey, Idaho. Clark grew up working on his family’s farm and attended grade school in Downey before graduating from Marsh Valley High School in 1969. He attended Rick’s College for two years before transferring to Utah State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in soil science in 1974.

After graduating from Utah State, Clark worked for the State of Idaho as a Soil Scientist and continued to work with his father on the family farm. In 1976, he took a job as a Fieldman for Amalgamated Sugar Company in Rupert, Idaho. He then transferred to Nampa in 1999 to work as the Nampa District Agricultural Manager. He retired from Amalgamated in May 2016.

From 1980-1995, he served in the Mini-Cassia Search and Rescue, ending his service as a commander. He also taught hunter safety classes for many years.

Clark had many joys in his life including a passion for collecting and shooting firearms. Later in life, he studied and collected Civil War and Native American artifacts. He loved to travel, take photographs and enjoyed a variety of music. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and was never happier than when he had family together in his home.

Clark knew and loved each of his children and grandchildren. He was supportive of his family and made it a point to always know what was important to each of them and to attend important events in his kids’ and grandkids’ lives. He was an avid learner, always educating himself about new topics.

He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and enjoyed his service in the church. Clark’s service endeared him to the many men, women, and children that felt his loving influence.
Clark will be loved and remembered by his wife of 31 years, Peggy, his sister Marla Bloxham, his children Melissa Bell (Jared), Wesley (Jennifer), Kyle (Elizabeth), Jeffrey, and his nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS chapel located at 2555 S. Stoddard Road in Meridian on Tuesday June 5th at 10:00 a.m. Viewings will be held on Monday evening from 6 until 8 at Cloverdale Funeral Home and Tuesday morning one hour prior to services.

Clark will be interred at the Swan Lake Cemetery in Swanlake, Idaho Tuesday June 5th at 5:00 p.m. following a short graveside service.
