David Paul Logan passed away on October 4, 2020 at the age of 65 in a Boise hospital. David was born April 5, 1955 to Rupert Jack Logan and Mary ( Means) Logan. He has three sisters, Nancy (Alan) Shark, Barbara Versoi and Linda (Tom) Kash. David grew up in Idaho and graduated from Boise High School. He married Diana Carroll on Dec 27, 1978 while they were both attending college. They had 42 amazing years of marriage. Together they have two wonderful sons Andrew Logan ( Crystle) and Matthew (Krystal) Logan. They have 5 grandchildren (Tristan, Logan, Emma, Nathaniel, and Landon).
David graduated in 1979 from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree and was a Substitute teacher in the Boise School District for awhile. He worked 6 years with the Forest Service where he fought fires, cleared trails and worked with the Youth Conservation Corp program. David was employed 32 years at Ada County and his last position was Director of Operations. He was involved in many building projects including the Ada County Courthouse. He was very active in getting LEED Green Building Certifications. David was one of the first Boise chapter presidents for IBOA (Intermountain Building Operations Association). He has many great memories and long term friends from Ada County. After retiring in 2015 David spent his time enjoying family, friends, and traveling around the country in his RV with his wife and close friends.
David was a kind and loving man and the thing that made him most happy was helping family and friends. It didn’t matter how big or small the project was David would gladly lend his hand. He loved to golf and had a great group of golfing buddies. He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin. He always marveled at the beauty of nature. He loved riding his ATV’s in the mountains. He loved and spent many of his earlier years fishing, hunting and horseback riding .
David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
