Dona Marie Hernandez

Dona Marie Hernandez, maiden name Smith, went to be with The Lord peacefully in her sleep Oct. 26, 2017 at the age of 83.  She was residing at Ashley Manor, Boise, Idaho at the time.  Dona was born January 17, 1934 in Wilder, Idaho. She had grown up and raised her own children in Hamer Idaho, Ririe, Idaho, Idaho Falls, Thousand Oaks, CA. and Boise, Idaho.

Dona’s children are Sandy Nelsen, Dave Cole, Pam Magana, Mark Cole, Lisa Johnson, Lesly Wade, Ronald Shortt and Kathy Brown.  Her siblings are Patsy Dutton, Arvin Smith and Mike Smith.  She had an abundance of wonderful grandchildren,  great great grandchildren and great grandchildren.

During her working years she was accomplished in her trade at Burroughs Corporation in California and later at Hewlett Packard in Boise.  In her retired years Dona enjoyed traveling, living in the mountains, ceramics, spending time with family, eating out and trips to the nail salon.  Dona had a pleasant and loving personality and will be missed by all who knew her. 

The family welcomes you to attend Dona’s Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 at Morningstar Senior Living located at 5850 N. Five Mile Road, Boise, Idaho, 83713. Flowers can be sent care of Kathy Brown, 6000 N.Willowcliff Way, Boise, Idaho 83713.

A memorial plate will be placed for future viewing at the outdoor Columbarium near other family members at The Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road, Boise, Idaho. 83713
