Donna Morgan

Donna G. Morgan, 91, of Boise, passed away peacefully Friday, February 3, 2023.

Donna was born in Helena, MT on May 25, 1931 to Roy Arnold Sr. and Frankie Rae Ellen Denny Arnold. Donna earned a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in History from Boise State. She was an accomplished singer who sang in choirs and at weddings. She met James P. Morgan at Gowen Field, and they were married at the family home on Kootenai Street, August 21, 1972. They lived in Helena where Donna taught history. Donna enjoyed raising two daughters, teaching school, Church, her pets, working at the Idaho State Legislature, volunteering at the St. Marks Food Bank and her Sisterhood with PEO. With her son-in-law Ken Mully, Donna attended the first speech by Pope Francis in Rome in 2013.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Christie Mully (Ken), their son and daughter, Justin (Jessa) and Ashley of Mesa, AZ, two granddaughter’s Kaitlin Fletcher (Jesse) and Jennifer Lynch of Butte, MT, sisters-in-law Mary Ann and Delphina Arnold of Boise and many younger relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Morgan, parents, Roy and Frankie, brothers Roy, Ken and Butch Arnold, daughter Shannon and husband, J D Lynch.

A Vigil service for Donna will be held at 7 PM, Monday, February 20 at Cloverdale Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11 AM, Tuesday, February 21 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, with Father Paul officiating a full Mass and luncheon. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a contribution to St. Mark’s Food Bank in remembrance of Donna. The family wishes to express special heartfelt thanks to the care givers of Grace Assisted Living.
