Douglas Ray Sparks was born on April 5th 1963 to Marie Holden Sparks and William Ray Sparks. He was the fourth of six children, the oldest of three boys.
He grew up enjoying the outdoors. He raced snowmobiles and motorcycles. He often earned first place and had many trophies.
His father was a mechanic/auto body repair man. Doug followed in his footsteps and attended Idaho State University with his wife Alaina Moser Sparks in 1982, where he received a certificate in auto mechanics.
He and Alaina welcomed their only child, Jadeana Sparks Trujillo, in April of 1981.
Doug spent many years living near Pocatello where he also ran a transmission business for 7 years.
He and Alaina spent a couple years living near his siblings in Oregon and spent the last 7 years living in Meridian, Idaho near their daughter, Jadeana, son in law, Chris Trujillo, and only granddaughter Marli Trujillo.
Doug was someone that welcomed everyone and treated everyone he met with respect and compassion. He would do anything for anyone that needed help. He was honest, caring, and had a great sensor of humor.
He spent many recent summers camping and riding his RZR, with friends and family.
Doug passed early on the morning of September 1st from lung cancer. Doug has always had great values that he passed on to many people in his life. He will be missed by his many friends and loved ones.
