Doyle D Pursell

On Thursday, Feb. 4th 2021 Doyle Pursell loving husband and father of four passed away at home, at the age of 83. Doyle was born on 6-13-37, in Sheanandoah, Iowa to Duane and Edna Pursell. They ended up raising their two boys in Fontana, Calif. where they had a good life. At age of 17 Doyle went into the Coast Guard as a engineman and ended his 4 years 2nd class. He was stationed in Morro Bay, Calif. where he met the love of his life, LaVonne on a blind date. They were married 2 years later on Jan. 10th, 1959. They raised two sons, Michael Pursell & Kenneth Pursell (Donna) and two daughters, Colleen FunkFritcher (Mark), and Karen Rachwitz (Bret). He has 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
   Doyle worked at Kaiser Steel for 25 years and was promoted supervisor last 10. Unfortunaly Doyle suffered with severe migraines and yet never missed a day of work. After retirement in 1983, we moved to Oregon where we lived for 26 years. Doyle and I loved Oregon, realizing the beauty was more than anyone could ask for. We enjoyed sight seeing, camping and yes going to the casinos. And with retirement he was able to pursue his passion for golf. Doyle's last 9 years was spent in Idaho enjoying his kids and grand children. He was a very good father, loving, caring and kind. His family always came first. Doyle was preceded in death by his father Duane, Mother Edna and brother Butch.
