Ella Nora Free

Ella passed away at Meadow View Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Nampa on September 19th, 2018 at approximately 5am. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Leona Mann, 3 sisters, Clairellen Bell Mulcahy, Floy Dorene Strang, Arlene Leona Free, 3 brothers, Arel Leo Mann, Ralph Vernon Mann, John Emery Mann, her husband Charles Richard Free, and daughter Barbara Kay Clark. She is survived by her sister, Leatha Elizabeth Mann and brother Cecil Socrates Mann, 2 sons, Raymond Lee Free and wife Melissa Kay of Boise, and Bruce Edwin Free and wife Lois of Athens, Alabama, and a daughter, Debra Free. She is also survived by 3 grandsons, Ryan Jude Clark, Shawn Michael Age, Matthew Jon Hiner and his wife Emily, as well as 2 grandaughters, Amanda Kay Haritgan and her husban John Patrick Haritgan, and Shawna May Fields and her husband Daniel Fields, great grandsons Dakota James Hughes, Carson Lee Haritgan, Corey Patrick Haritgan, and 3 great grandaughters, Chloe Mae Haritgan, Cheyenne Michelle Haritgan, and Cassie Marie Hiner. Ella was born in Wolf Creek, Oregon on September 27th, 1931. She attended school in North Powder, Oregon. Ella married Charles Richard Free of Arkansas, who then moved to North Powder where they met and were married on April 18, 1951. They remained happily married for 55 years, settled in Boise in 1957, moved to Nampa in 2004, where they lived until Charles died in 2006. Charles was the love of Ella's life, teaching her to drive just after they met when Charles returned from his service with the Army in 1950.
