Erma McCoy

Erma Lucille (Magers) McCoy was born April 16th, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Oscar Eugene Magers and Clara Atkinson Fox. 
She spent her childhood years in the Salt Lake City area becoming a drum majorette in school and dancing professionally before marrying Charles W. Wright and having four children who adored her. The family moved to Boise, ID in 1960 where they enjoyed many new friends and camping in the Owyhee Mountains. Erma was also very involved with PTA Stunt Night and building beautiful floats for the Annual Christmas Parade in downtown Boise. Chuck and Erma were divorced in 1968. Erma then went to Link's School of Business, where after graduating she began working at Syms-York were she met Lowell McCoy, they were happily married in 1971. Erma later worked as office manager for West Boise Sewer District until her retirement. After retirement her and Lowell worked seasonally at the State Tax Commission and enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, square dancing and spending time with their family until Lowell passed away in 2000. She continued working at the Tax Commission and traveling and enjoying many outings with her friends and family. Erma passed on to be with Lowell on September 27, 2017.

Erma touched everyone she met in some way. She was loved by many for her kind soul and accepting personality. She was an exceptional mother, pushing her kids to always be kind and to follow their dreams. She was the neighborhood mom where all the kids came to play. 

Erma was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Guy Magers and Jim Magers, her loving husband Lowell, her son Charles G. Wright and her granddaughter Lisa Marie Phelps. She is survived by her three daughters, C. Charlene Phelps, Shauna Ann Sanderson and Kathryn Jill (Dan) Wright-Pulliam. Her grandsons William Wray, Michael (Traci) Sanderson, James (Jesika) Sanderson, Brian (Julia) Sanderson and granddaughter Melissa (Ray Skinner) Sanderson, 29 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren along with many friends that she also called family.

Erma will be interred at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, Meridian next to her beloved Lowell in a small gathering on October 7th, 2017 at 2pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 28th, 2017  2pm-4pm at Shelley and Robert Ross' on 3470 S. Cole Rd.
