Tribute

Floyd Lawrence Hulse, known as Larry to friends and family, passed away on February 2, 2023. Larry was born in August 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas, to his parents, Henry and Grace Hulse. Larry was the youngest of seven children and is survived by his sister Leah Cook (Favon). At a very young age, his family moved to Boise, Idaho. In 1956, Larry joined the U.S. Marines and served until 1959. In 1959, he married Bonnie Sisley, his wife of 62 years. They were married in Reno, Nevada. Larry and Bonnie have three daughters Susan Saine (Steve, deceased), Anita Prescott (Dwayne), and Kim Russo (Jett Sr.). Larry worked in construction.  He taught his daughters how to work hard and was proud to tell stories of the days his daughters flagged for him and how he taught them to operate large construction equipment before they received their drivers licenses. During his career he owned his own business, developed a construction estimating program, and worked various large construction projects in Idaho, Alaska, California, Washington, and Texas.

Larry is known as Paw Paw by his four grandchildren, Jett Russo, Tera Kendrick, Travis Saine, and Katie Facer, and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Charlie, Addie, Lacey and Sage. He is also survived by his niece Judy Pritchard.

Larry was an optimist with a big appetite for life. He hardly sat still and was usually found outside with a dog by his side. Larry loved to exercise, fish, and read. He was a faithful husband, father, and Marine. He will be missed.  Semper fi
