Share Tribute:

Franklin LeGrande Graham, Jr., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.

Frank was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on August 2, 1933. He was the only son of F. LeGrande Graham and Edna Graham.

His family included his sisters, Mildred (DeDe), Patricia, and Nancy. The family moved to Salt Lake City, then to Springville, Utah, and finally to Sunnyside, Utah, when Frank was nine years old. It was a small mining town and Frank had many wonderful memories growing up there. In 1952, he graduated from high school in Price, Utah, and enlisted in the Air Force. He was stationed in Japan and Moses Lake, Washington. After his discharge in 1956, he worked for Western Electric in Portland, Oregon. He met Carolyn Showalter in 1958 and they were married in 1960.

While working for Union Oil, they lived in Portland, Oregon area, North Bend, Oregon, and then back to Portland.

Their daughter Linda was born in Portland, Oregon, and son Scott, in North Bend, Oregon.

The family moved to Boise in 1973.

While in the Air Force, Frank was trained in electronic communications and that knowledge was used in many ways during his life. He had four years active duty in the Air Force, and a total of 20 years in the Air National Guard when he retired in 1993.

At the age of 53, in 1987, Frank received Jesus Christ as his savior and his life was changed forever. He had a great hunger to learn The Bible and attend church. He enjoyed his fellowship with many Christian friends and was always ready to serve the Lord in any way he could.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Linda Graham; son, Scott (Becky) Graham, four grandchildren, Tyler (Molly) Thurston, Joshua Thurston, Nolan Graham, and Natalie Graham; and sister, Nancy Dobbs. He had many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and dad, sisters, DeDe and Patricia, and a very special aunt, MeMe Wilson, and his in-laws that he loved very much.
