Franky Wu

Franky Wu, 94, of Boise passed away May 24th, 2023.
Franky was born April 10th, 1929, and was raised in Vietnam before moving to Luang Prabang, Laos in her twenties. She started her Vietnamese restaurant business in Luang Prabang, managing both the kitchen and staff. She dedicated her time to her family and the restaurant.
Franky and her family of 6 moved to Boise in 1980. She worked at a local cafeteria to support her family, working diligently, and without complaint. All she strived for was to see her children have the opportunity to go to college, receive a better education, and have a better life than she did.
In her free time, Franky loved to read romance novels and go on long strolls.
Franky is survived by her five children: Chen Hua of Taipei, Taiwan; Albert of Boise; Veelaysone of Montreal, Canada; and Patricia and Samuel of Boise. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Cloverdale Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 11:00 am on the same day.
