Tribute

Isabelle Ann Debrick, 89, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 202. Isabelle Ann West was born May 2, 1931 in Los Angeles California. She was trained at age four to play the piano and began playing the organ at age 12. She spoke passionately about the hours and hours she spent practicing.

As a single Mom, she raised two sons, teaching piano and organ lessons by day. She also played the organ for the Protestant and Catholic services at the Marine Corps Air Station (H) in Tustin, California.

At night, she played the piano and organ at numerous venues including The Revere House and the Long Beach Elks Lodge. She was regularly active in the Orange County Professional Organist’s Guild (OCPOG) which led to her playing guest appearances at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California and other major sporting venues in Southern California.

She passed her love of baseball on to the boys taking them to Dodger games and practicing with them in the back yard. Then in 1966, when the Angels moved to their new stadium in Anaheim, California, she became a huge Angel’s fan.

She loved to take trips and became a travel agent to enjoy her off time.

In retirement Isabelle and Joe moved to Las Vegas from Orange, CA. Then they moved to Boise to be closer to her oldest son, Michael. Isabelle enjoyed gardening and especially tending to her roses. Another past time she loved was scrapbooking. She made personal scrap books for family and friends, with personalized captions on the photos depicting special events and milestones in their lives. She will be missed by all. Her bright smile, laughter, sense of humor, her funny sayings, and how she always found the best in everyone was some of her amazing traits.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Vickers of Boise; Steven Vickers (Marci) of Newport Beach CA; granddaughter Morgan Mowrey of Huntington Beach, CA; grandson J D Vickers of Newport Beach CA; and her adopted Boise family; Peggy Bagby, Sharon Bagby, Jan Bagby, Kathryn Merritt, Chelsea Bagby, Bob Whitlatch and Jean Zanske.

Isbelle is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Debrick, she will be laid to rest with him at the Idaho State Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
