Jack Brownie Stout

Jack B Stout passed away on August 13, 2018, at the age of 82. He had recently been diagnosed with late-stage cancer. He died in his home surrounded by family.

Jack was born in Bristol, Tennessee, on November 20, 1935, and was adopted three days later by Milton and Leona Stout. He married Martha Triplett on February 26, 1955. He served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic from January 1956 until January 1960, when he was honorably discharged.

He loved cars, especially classic cars. His working career always involved cars, and he retired from Peterson Motors in 1996 after 25 years selling BMWs and Toyotas. He loved spending time with friends and family, going to car shows, fishing, vacationing in Florida, and going on cruises. For many years, he went to pizza on Friday nights with his family and friends and “sales meetings” (in reality, hangouts at the pub) on Tuesday afternoons with his friends. His most cherished times were spent with his grandchildren and his great-granddaughters.

Jack loved his family more than anything else. He is survived by his wife Martha, daughter Jackie, grandson Bradley (Tiffany), granddaughter Nicole, and great-granddaughters Kelly and Emerson. He is also survived by four brothers and one sister in Tennessee.

A memorial will be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home at 11 am on Saturday, August 18, with a celebration of Jack’s life to follow afterward. Jack will be interred at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
