Jane Zoe Wilcox

Jane Z. Wilcox, who was greatly loved, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 18th, 2021 after a courageous battle with dementia.  

She was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts the daughter of Richard and Athalie McCarthy.

Jane is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, John D. Wilcox, her parents and her sister.

She was raised in Endicott, New York and graduated from the Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing.  After graduating with her nursing degree, Jane worked at Ideal Hospital in Broome County New York, up until she enlisted in the Air Force.   She proudly served her country, achieving the rank of Captain before receiving an honorable discharge.   Her entrepreneurial spirit shined as she ran several businesses throughout her life.

Jane is survived by her two sons, daughter-in-law, brother and families.  Many close friends also survive her.

Jane was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas for 30 years contributing in a variety of capacities to both the church and community until relocating to Boise, Idaho to be closer to family.

Special thanks to the staff at Touchmark at Meadow Lake Village who worked tirelessly to support Jane physically, socially, and spiritually during her final years.  Your love for her is clear for all to see and your efforts will always be remembered and appreciated.   Thank you!

Jane’s service will occur at Cloverdale Funeral Home Saturday, July 10th, 2021 at 10 A.M.
