Joseph William Shuter was born in Indiana, On December 9, 1925. He moved to Idaho in 1939.
He worked at Gowen Field Air Base as a sheet metal worked until he received his “congratulations” into the US Army. Basic training was at Fort Bliss, Texas. Active duty was in the South Pacific. He was discharched in 1946 as a Staff Sergeant.
Joseph married Stella Rathbone March 2, 1946. Joe and Stella raised 5 children.
Joe worked several jobs during his life, mostly in construction. He worked for Jim Raney and Nelson Construction.
Stella passed away in 1989. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse racing, and playing cards.
Joe is survived by two sisters Beulah Adams and Waneta Irminger; Paul Shuter, Joey and Joyce Shuter, Ida and Tony Glenn, and Roseanne Myrick, and many grandchildren.
A service is to be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 15th at 10am.
