Joseph E Watson

Beloved father, husband, teacher, coach and friend, Joseph E. Watson passed away peacefully on April 25, 2019 in Boise Idaho at the age of 91.
Born in 1927 in Evanston Illinois, Joe was the second child of James E. Watson and Elizabeth Sharp- Watson.
Like most members of the “Greatest Generation”, Joe’s life was centered around service. He served his country in WWII as a United States Marine in the Pacific. He also served in Korea.
As a soldier, stateman, teacher, coach and passionate Boise State University football fan, he made the world a better place.
Joe and his first wife Vea Higginson-Watson had seven children: Elaine Watson-Fairbanks, Janet Elizabeth Watson, Joseph Watson Jr., James E. Watson, Nancy C. Watson, Robert N. Watson and Karen K. Watson.
Joe endured the passing of his beloved wife Vea and three of his children (Elaine, Joseph and Nancy).
Joe found love again later in life, marrying Barbara Pooley in 1988. He always said, “I’m the luckiest guy in the world. I married the two most beautiful ladies that ever lived.”
Ever the eternal optimist, Joe always had a story to tell, a smile to give and love to share.
He will be missed.
