Kathryn Mascroft

May 3, 2019

Tribute

Kathryn (Baldi) Mascroft, age 85, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 3rd, 2019.
She was born March 6th, 1934 in Marion, Arkansas to Celeste and Pasquina Baldi. She was nicknamed "Honey" by her family. She graduated from Marion High School in 1951. She married William Robert Mascroft in Memphis, Tennessee on December 3rd, 1951. Kathryn was a homemaker for her husband and their 3 beautiful children: Linda, Johnny, and Danny. After they were grown, she welcomed their spouses with open arms. She was a wonderful grandmother to her 8 precious grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Kathryn's siblings were MaryAnn, Teresa, Francis, David, and Johnny. She was preceded in death by her parents (Celeste and Pasquina Baldi), her 3 sisters (MaryAnn, Teresa, and Francis), one brother (David), and her husband (William Mascroft).
When Kathryn was young, she worked in her dad's shoe cobbler and mercantile shop. Later, she began working as a waitress at the Grid Iron Grill in Memphis, Tennessee. That is where she met her future husband, William Mascroft, whom she married when she was 17 years old.
All of us that have known Kathryn well know that:
- She had a strong will. We can see it in her life, and it paid off in some very good ways. She went through many, many struggles in life but she held on to GOD and HIS WORD through them all.
- She was straight forward! She walked straight forward! She did not turn aside or turn around. She raised her children in the TRUTH.
- What she said in the beginning is still true in the end. When she received the Holy Spirit, she committed her life to God and she kept her commitment to the end.
- And Kathryn never, never gave up!

In 1960 William and Kathryn moved to California.

Kathryn began attending the United Pentacostal Church of Oakland in 1963. Her pastors were Bro. Otis Petty and Bro. Garland. The church later moved to San Lorenzo and her Pastors were Bro. Edmumd Dias, Bro. Theobald and Bro. Dunaway. The name of the church was eventually changed to Gospel Lighthouse and her pastor was Bro. Eugene Rushing. Kathryn worked in the Sunday School Department and she was a regular on visitation for many years throughout her life.

Kathryn's son, John Mascroft and his wife, LeeAnn Mascroft and their children, Lynette and Jared, moved to Idaho in 1993 and John became the Pastor of Apostolic Bible Church in Meridian, Idaho. About 3 years later, William and Kathryn followed him and made their home in Meridian as well. Kathryn attended her son's church for several years until shge became ill with cancer and could no longer participate.

Mom, we will miss you and we appreciate all that you have taught us by your faithfulness to God! Danny and I are grateful that we were able to move back to Idaho to take care of you and show our love to you before God took you home.

Kathryn used to enjoy dancing in the Spirit. Today I believe she is worshipping around the throne without any physical limitations!
