Kirk Andrew Brock

December 4, 1960 ~ November 5, 2023 (age 62) 62 Years Old

Tribute

Kirk Brock was born December 4, 1960, in Boise Idaho, to Burness and John Brock.
He grew up in Garden City attending Hillside Junior High, and Capital High School, graduating in 1979.
Kirk was the baby of a brother and 9 sisters, which was definitely character building for the man.
When he was 14, Kirk started work stocking shelves at Jerry’s Pen Market in Garden City, moving on to the warehouse at Coca-Cola, then as a delivery driver, becoming “Kirk the coke man” to his friends and family. At Coke he built lifelong friendships with so many people throughout the Treasure Valley, which followed him into his sales career at ALSCO (American Linen).  Kirk just retired this year, after nearly 25 years. His vast knowledge of all thing’s history in the treasure valley and surrounding areas, and ability to remember a name and face, are what made him a top salesman with the company, nationwide, year after year. His ability to remember a name only rivaled with his ability to assign nicknames for those he loved the most.
In May of 1987 he married his love, Cecyle, (Axl) and the 2 of them with his daughter Katie (Cattle) made a small family, which was expanded to a family of five with his sons Brent (Butcher Holler) and Trevor (Oswald Green) by 1990.
For Kirk, the 90s and early 2000s were filled with family adventures to the cabin on Thorn Creek, raising farm animals that he had no business building fences for, therefore chasing said animals around the neighborhood, and raising his family.
These last few decades for Kirk have revolved around his wife, kids and grandkids, ALSCO, and his nightly Water Buffalo meetings with old and new friends at Meridian Lanes. He also read the Ada County arrest reports, and the obituaries daily to ensure he was not in either one. So, Kirk Brock, if you are indeed reading this, this one’s for you. Don’t let your meat loaf.

Kirk is survived by his wife Cecyle, daughter Katie(Zach), son Brent (Abby), son Trevor (Stephanie) grandchildren Alex, Sofia, Mackellen, Jase, and Quinn. His brother Terry, sisters Rita, Teena (Tom), Theresa, Jan (Ron), Val (Scott), Teresa Lynn, Connie, and many many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mom Burness, dad John, stepfather Clay, sisters Rosalyn and Judy, his beloved uncle John Brady, and nephews Terry Ray and Keven Cooke. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws Opal and Cecil Farrington, and Donna and Bill Hardiman.

Because it’s hard to sum up a man with such a large personality in so few sentences, we ask that you bring your best unedited Kirk stories to share at his service.
