Leslie Ellen Epston passed away Friday, December 2nd in Meridian, Idaho at the age of seventy-six after suffering a stroke.
Leslie was born in DuBois, Pennsylvania on August 6, 1946. She grew up in the Midwest in the Chicago and Kansas City areas. She attended the University of Kansas before moving to New York City where she worked as a secretary for Capital Records. Leslie also lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; the San Diego, El Cajon, and Escondido areas of San Diego County, California; and was a resident of Meridian, Idaho for seven years before her passing.
Leslie enjoyed spending time with family and looked forward to barbeques, family dinners, and holiday celebrations. She was especially close to her sister Lila Fetherolf, brother-in-law Dwaine Fetherolf, cousin Neil Kay, and nephew Terry Fetherolf. Leslie loved animals and adored her family’s cats Timmy, Suzie, Autumn, and Mira.
Before the pandemic, Leslie regularly attended performances by the Meridian Symphony Orchestra. She appreciated the simple pleasures of life and was known for her laughter and sense of humor. Leslie was kind, supportive, generous, grateful, and humble.
Leslie is survived by her sister Lila Fetherolf (nee Beverly Epston); brother-in-law Dwaine Fetherolf; cousin Neil Kay; nieces Cheyenne Cutler, Tara Fetherolf Decker, and Tammy Daniels; nephew Terry Fetherolf; great nieces Kayla Garcia, Karyssa Garcia, and Cienna Daniels; and great grandnieces Koralyn Garcia, Kinsley Garcia, and Kendyl Garcia. She was predeceased by her parents Melvin F. Epston (1/12/2002) and Irene Epston (1/5/2006).
Interment and a private family service will take place at Cloverdale Funeral Home and Cemetery in Meridian, Idaho. Tributes in memory of Leslie Epston may be posted at www.cloverdalefuneralhome.com. Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
