January 14, 1931 ~ August 30, 2020 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Tribute

Lillian J. Shiepe-Blankinship passed away August 30th, 2020 at the age of 89 in her home with her family by her side. She moved to Idaho from New York in the 1930’s. She was married to her best friend, Calvin L. Blankinship Sr. and they celebrated 49 wonderful years together. She worked at RTP concrete for 9 years and then at Hewlett-Packard for an additional 16 years.
After retirement, she and Calvin started traveling and landed in Arizona as snowbirds. She made numerous lifelong friends in her 16 years there. At an early age, Lillian developed a love for baseball. Her favorite team being the Hawks, of whom she was a season ticket holder. She loved volunteering at the training camps for the major league team while residing in Arizona.  She also volunteered in the retirement community, helping with anything that needed to be done. She was a volunteer at St. Luke’s and the St. Alphonsus Auxiliary for over 25 years. Lillian loved being around people, and she never met a cookie she did not enjoy.  She loved to laugh, and would light up a room with her smile. She would get a glimmer in her eye just before she would say something to make you laugh. She greatly appreciated the attention she received from her caregivers and how hard they worked to keep her happy. Lillian so loved her cat Vinney. He was always watching over her and gave her so much joy.  They were so connected.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Regina Shiepe. Her husband Calvin and her son Mark. She is survived by her 3 children; Calvin Jr, Debra, and Pamela. 2 grandchildren; Bruce (Cassey) and Scott (Candi). As well as 6 great grandchildren; Victor, Isabella, Paityn, Aiden, Colton, and Carson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She touched so many lives and will be missed by them all.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any local Veterans organization in Lillian's name.
