I have never known a more articulate lawyer than Lynn. He communicated with exacting precision in both the written and spoken word. Remarkable effective as an appellate advocate, his work did not consume him outside the office. His intellect focused on where his wide-ranging curiosity took him: woodworking, gardening, cooking, model rocketeering, etc. Most importantly, he was a genuine and kind person. In the rough and tumble of his work as Solicitor General of Idaho, he was a tough advocate for the rule of law on behalf of all of us citizens, but was the consummate professional in dealing with his opponents. He never lost his wicked sense of humor. He was a good friend and a good man who will remain in our memories as an example of humility and contentment. Rest in peace.

I knew Lynn fairly well when he practiced. He was a wicked smart lawyer, and had a great sense of humor. I always enjoyed my interactions with him.
