Margaret was born November 27, 1937 in Boise, Idaho to Harold and Luella (Post) Bayer. She was 84 and died April 25, 2022 of natural causes with her sister by her side. She was older than her brother, Glenn, and sister, Linda. The family moved around Oregon and Washington where she attended school and graduated from Kennewick High School in 1955. Upon her graduation the family returned to Boise. In 1958 she joined the Navy as a member of the WAVES and was stationed in Patuxent River, Maryland. She spent the remainder of her life in Boise. She had a long and varied career in accounting for several local companies.

She is survived by two sons, Hal (Lily) Pigg of Jamul, California and John (Wendy) Bayer of Hamilton, Georgia; five grandchildren, Harold (Levi), Mary Anne, Angie Pigg, and Robert and Jackson Bayer; sister, Linda Denney; and two nephews, Bren Denney of San Diego, California and Craig Denney of Boise, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Luella Bayer, and her brother Glenn Bayer.

A committal ceremony with military honors will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery officiated by Tim Fortin. A reception will follow at the Idaho Pizza Company located at 78 Eagle River St. in Eagle, Idaho. You may leave remembrances at www.cloverdalefuneralhome.com.

The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Arbor Village at Hillcrest for making her last years more enjoyable. Also, a thank you to Idaho Home Health and Hospice for their caring assistance to her in her final days.
