Marie Willoughby, aged 85, passed away peacefully on November 7, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 4th, 1938, in a little farmhouse in Shoshone Idaho, to Oela and Casey Porter. She was a 1958 graduate of Shoshone High School. She married the love of her life, Jerry Willoughby, on March 2, 1959, in Elko Nevada. They lived in Shoshone, Twin Falls, and Kimberly, then moved to Eagle Idaho in 1977.
Marie worked as a loving lunch lady in Kimberly Idaho, then moved to Eagle Elementary and years later opened Eagle Hills Elementary School as the Kitchen Manager. She shared her caring heart with all the school’s children for over 30 years.
Marie was one of the most loving and caring women you could have ever met. She loved her family unconditionally, and never let a day pass without showing them her love. She would do anything for anyone without asking for anything in return. Her greatest passions in life were playing bridge, shopping, going out to lunch, and most importantly, her family. She loved with all her being and she received the same love in return from her wonderful husband, daughters, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Willoughby, daughters, Pam McClenny (Kurt) and Kim Winkle (Mike), grandchildren, Scott McClenny (Ashley), Steve McClenny, Taylor Dlugosch (Joe), and Keegan Winkle (Lauren), her seven beautiful great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is now reunited with her Father, Mother, Sisters; Alta, Peggy, and Brother Bruce.
Family, friends, and others are invited to Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N Cloverdale Rd, Boise, ID 83713 at 11:00 am on November 16, to celebrate and honor the wonderful life of beloved Marie Willoughby.
