Marshall James, 81, passed away peacefully at St. Lukes’ Hospital in Meridian, Idaho on Saturday, September 8, 2018 surrounded by his family and caregivers. Marshall was born in Pocatello on June 6, 1937 to Elmer James and Lois Simer Adams.
Marshall retired several years ago as a Class A, PGA Golf Professional and will be fondly remembered by the many amatuers who he encouraged to play the game, and by his friends from across the country. He established and officiated over some of the most successful amature golf tournaments in Idaho and California, including the Southeast Idaho Amature and the Steve Lagos Memorial Golf tournament in Pocatello. Marshall was also a sports enthusiast who loved horse racing, fishing, travel, football, baseball and adventure.
Marshall and Georganne, his wife of 31 years, enjoyed spending time with family and friends but most of all they enjoyed their time spent with one another.
Marshall is survived by his children; Joni J. Metzler (John), HI, Clayton S. Adams (Frida), AZ, LesLee Ekwall-Hacker (Phil), NE, his grandchildren; Bruno, Rebecca & Nickolas Adams, Jonathan & Lauren Hacker and Nina Kai Metzler Puhipau, Christopher Metzler & Catherine Metzler, his nieces and newphews, Mike Adams, HI, Doug Adams, ID, Juliana Adams, AZ, Heath Adams, ID, Hilarie Adams, ID Scott Rogers, ID, Russell Rogers, OR & Sue Ann Blodget, AK, Christopher Scott, CA, Dawn Scott, CA, and his sister-in-law, Cathy Adams, ID. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wayne and sister Patricia and his wife of 31 years, Georganne Clark.
