Mary Emilia Campbell Dejesus passed away August 2, 2018 in Merritt Island, Florida.
Mary was born December 19,1935 in Vale, Oregon, the second child of George and Gladys Bassett. She was raised in Emmett where she met her best friend and love Wallace Rex Campbell. They were married on November 1, 1953 in Emmett.
Mary and Rex owned and operated jewelry stores in various locations including Boise, McCall and Ketchum.
Mary loved gardening, fishing, woodworking with her father, crocheting, crafting of all kinds, and spending time with her friends and family. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and held various callings and positions over her lifetime. She was an excellent cook and loved canning everything she grew in the garden. She was warm and kind and had a hug for everyone she met. Mary was a “hugger” and no one was a stranger.
Mary was preceded in death by her love and husband, Rex Campbell, her parents George & Gladys (Sutton) Bassett, a brother Richard and his wife Roma Dawn (Packer) Bassett and husband Mal Dejesus, whom she married in 2001.
Survived by Dixie and (David) Nelson of San Diego, Suni and (John) Garcia of Cocoa, Florida, Kari Campbell of Stayton, Oregon and a brother Carl (Linda) Bassett of South Jordan, Utah, many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on at 10:00 AM, August 8, 2018 at Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise, Idaho. Local Arrangements are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.
