Tribute

IN MEMORIUM Mary M. Eggers, 79, was called home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2020. Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Douglas L. Eggers, her son, Douglas B. (Whitney) Eggers, her daughter, Tina M. (Richard) Myers, and four grandchildren, Daniel, Jordan, Blaine and Race. Mary was born on July 7, 1940, in Jefferson, Wisconsin, to parents, Jack L. and Marie L. Earl. Mary was one of three children. Mary and her family moved to Boise, Idaho, in 1951, where she attended local schools and graduated from Boise High School in 1959. Mary met and married Douglas L. Eggers on February 26, 1960. The lived in Boise, Idaho, until moving to Eagle, Idaho in 1975, where she resided until her passing. Mary opened her own sign shop, B Line Sign & Design in 1985. She ran a very successful business until suffering a debilitating stroke in 1998. Like everything she did, Mary bounced back from the stroke and was able to continue getting around and doing many of the things she enjoyed. Mary enjoyed reading, crafting, gardening, camping, and traveling. She was extremely creative and artistic in all that she did, from building the beautiful berm in her front lawn, to designing a stained-glass window piece. Mary and Doug were members of the Good Sam Club and she enjoyed the traveling, camping and attending the annual retreats. Mary was a member of Collister Community Church. She was very active with the Ladies Group. She enjoyed attending the Women’s Retreat each year and the annual Church Retreats. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society along with several members of the Ladies Group. During the last year and a half, Mary has been on hospice care. She had the best care team we could have asked for. They treated her with so much love and respect. To Keystone Hospice, Tiffany, Katie, Kathryn, and Pastor Norm, thank you for all you did! Mary also had wonderful caregivers that helped with her every day care. Mary came to care very much for Tania and Delaney. Tania could always make her smile, no matter how bad of a day she was having. Delaney was our official photographer and IT Tech. Both of these ladies left a lasting impression on our family. We are so very grateful to them for their care and time the spent with Mary. The family would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jolene Hill, Mary’s sister-in-law, for all her special care and love she gave to Mary. Mary thought extremely high of her and loved her very much. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a donation in Mary’s name to either the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the American Heart Association. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Mary on a date and time to be determined at a later time.
