Mary Leona Huskey

Mary Leona Huskey, 96, passed away June 30, 2018 at her home in Boise, Idaho.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 7th at 9:30 a.m. at the Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd, Boise, Idaho 83713. Interment will follow at Meridian Cemetery, 895 E. Meridian Rd., Meridian, Idaho 83642. A viewing will be held on Friday July 6th, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Cloverdale Funeral Home.

Leona was born on August 3, 1921, in Boise, Idaho to Lawson and Savannah (Witherspoon) Huskey. She attended McKinley, a one-room grade school, and graduated from Meridian High School in 1938. She attended Links School of Business. She did office manager work for an insurance company, an orthopedist, Morrison Knudsen, a professional engineering company, BSU, and Norco.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawson and Savannah, and her brothers and sisters: Gertrude, Silas, Loreta, Harold, Floyd, Beula, Erma and Leonard.

Leona will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She will be remembered fondly for her sharp mind, memory of details, positive outlook, wit, good-heartedness, and the joy she received from simple living.

A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday, August 3, 2018, at the Reta Huskey Park, 2887 W Teano Dr. in Meridian from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
