Maxine Naomi Anthony

December 6, 1946 ~ March 7, 2019 (age 72) 72 Years Old

Tribute

Maxine Naomi Anthony, 72, of Boise, Idaho passed away on March 7, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital from complications due to an aortic aneurysm with her daughter, Kristin by her side. She was born on December 6,1946, in Portland, Oregon to Elmer and Vallie Reed. Max, as she preferred to be called, was married to Jack Anthony for 23 years before they divorced. They continued to share the same residence up until her passing. Jack insured that Max was always cared for and supported her after her health began to fail. Max is survived by six siblings: Wiley, Paul, Dan, Loretta, Margaret, and Josie. She is also survived by two daughters, Robin and Kristin, five grandchildren: Brandee, Lacy, Shannon, Breanne, and Sean; and four great grandchildren: Taylor, Rylynn, Tucker, and Hudson. She was predeceased by both parents, her brother, LeRoy, sisters Violet and Judy, and her beloved son, John.
Max was a free and wild spirit, living life to the beat of her own drum. She was often described as the life of the party. Max loved being outdoors. Interests included: swimming, camping, sunbathing, dancing, listening to music, going to the movies, spending weekends with Sean, and catering to her dogs. She loved to read and owned a collection of Stephen King novels. She also enjoyed writing and drawing and was an excellent cook.
Max was a kind, loving, compassionate and intuitive person who shared a special bonding with Kristin. She touched many people in very special and unique ways. She was a great listener and always knew the right things to say at the right time. She was the type of person who would have given her only shirt off her back to a stranger in need. Max’s favorite place to travel was the Oregon coast. Her final wishes were to have her ashes spread along the coast in a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean. This wish will be honored by her daughters, Kristin and Robin, in August, 2019.
