Tribute

Oliver (Olie) J. Schultz 38, resided in Meridian, Idaho, joined Our Holy Father in Heaven on March 25, 2019. Oliver was born in Boise, Idaho. He was a devout Monk of Christian faith until his passing and took his monastic vows at Christ Church in Seattle Washington. He was the Founder and Abbot of The Order of Eremitic Servants - OES. Olie began every day with prayer and meditation. Olie’s Life mission was being an advocate for the less fortunate. He conducted an international weekly fellowship every Tuesday.

Olie was actively involved in the LGBTQ community and a crusader of Human Rights. Olie enjoyed traveling and spent time in Germany, speaking the native language. During his time abroad, Olie made many friends and acquaintances. He belonged to many social communities and clubs that brought people together with common interests.

Olie always put others before himself, his heart was enormous, and his loyalty was legendary. He was a very compassionate, loving, and accepting person with a special love for all animals and a fondness for bears. Olie graduated from PEMA Institute as a Vet Tech in Seattle, Washington. Olie loved spending time with his family and his beloved dog and best friend Moose. His favorite hobbies included camping, cooking, gardening, fishing, knitting, reading, hiking, and making care kits for the homeless.

He is survived by his Mother Sherri Smith of Meridian; Brother, Vance Caswell of Meridian; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Michelle and Kevin Pettus of Challis, Jeremy and Stephanie Kelly of Boise, and Moose Schultz, Border Collie and Best Friend.

He is preceded in death by his father Lucky J. Schultz.
