Tribute

Patricia Lee Stout Brizee passed away peacefully on June 1, 2022 due to injuries suffered in a fall. She was born September 4, 1933 in Topeka, Kansas to Alice Patterson Stout and Edgar Lee Stout. She graduated from Sheffield High in 1951.

She married Robert Brizee in 1953. They were divorced in 1974. Daughters Judith Anne and Joy Elizabeth were born in February 1959 and March 1965, respectively. As a single parent, Patty not only blessed her daughters with love, but continued studying, often late into the evenings, to ensure a better future for her family.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a B.A. in History, Patty later earned a post graduate degree in Medical Records Services which led to a career as a hospital Director of Medical Records primarily at St. Alphonsus in Boise, Idaho. Following her retirement in 1990, she loved doing volunteer work.

Patty was predeceased by her parents, brother Edgar Stout, Jr., and nephews Charles Soricelli and Jeffrey Brizee.

Surviving to keep her in their hearts are daughters Judy (Bob) Seraphin and Joy Brizee, sisters Mary Ann (Gail) Stout and Nanci Soricelli, granddaughter Brittany (Chris) Carter, and great grandson Robert. Many nieces and nephews also share the love.

Intelligent and quick witted, Patty had a sassy sense of humor. Loving and giving, she sacrificed for her family. Her pastime was spent reading. Patty read more books than God, and retained a remarkable retention of facts and could enhance any conversation with enthusiasm! She always enjoyed going to new places, venues, and often insisted on getting off the couch and exploring new ventures.

She cherished her years living in Village One in Sheffield, Alabama, attending Sheffield High School, being a cheerleader, but mostly making the lifelong friends she loved to this day. She felt like Sheffield and Boise were her homes where she made the friends she held for life.

The family will be forever grateful and feel truly blessed to have had the staff and caregivers of Edgewood Spring Creek Assisted Living Facility in Eagle, Idaho care for her in her last years.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels or Our Center.

A public memorial service will be held  Saturday, September 10th at 1PM at the Cloverdale Event Center located at 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise, ID 83713.
