Patricia Johnson "PJ"
She passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 28, 2019.
PJ was dedicated to her family and friends. She loved life and lived it to its fullest.
Born 11/29/1946 to Filiberto and Rosie Martinez in Maywood, California. As a teen, she moved with her parents to Glendale California. Once married, she made her way to Fairbanks, Alaska with her family.
Through many trials and tribulations, she grew to love Alaska where she stayed, raised her two daughters and had many dear friends. She was a proud member of the Local 959 Teamsters and worked at AT&T Alascom for 31 years. Once retired she took advantage of her extra time enjoying her family and hobbies. Many of those included attending drag racing events with her family, listening to music, shopping, stamping, lap swimming, and water aerobics, sporting around in her 1999 Chevy Xtreme lowrider truck. She followed a variety of sports including baseball, tennis, golf, and of course football, as she was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan.
In 2006 PJ and her grandson Justin drove the Alcan highway to California where PJ moved into her parent's home. While there she shared many wonderful times with her family. In 2013 PJ sold her parent’s house and moved to Idaho.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Filiberto and Rosie Martinez. Survived by her two daughters Deb Maxwell and Diana Canady, two grandchildren Alexis Walkins and Justin Canady and her great-granddaughter Sierra Walkins. As well as many extended family members located in Alaska, Arizona, and California.
